Our Barangaroo site is a compact flagship store focused on quality, consistency, and a respectful kitchen culture.We're not a big corporate group.We're hands-on owners building something special — carefully, not chaotically.The RoleAs a Kitchenhand at Sweet Belem Barangaroo, you'll support our pastry and kitchen teams by keeping the workspace clean, organised and running smoothly during daytime production and service.Working roughly between 9:00am and 5:00pm, you'll be an essential part of the team — helping our chefs and bakers focus on producing quality product by handling washing, prep support, stock rotation and general kitchen upkeep.This role suits someone reliable, hands-on and happy to keep things moving in a small, tight-knit kitchen.Key Responsibilities- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment to a high standard- Keep kitchen and workstations clean, tidy and organised throughout the day- Assist chefs and bakers with basic prep tasks as required- Receive, unpack and store deliveries correctly- Rotate stock and correctly label, date and store ingredients- Take out rubbish and maintain general cleanliness of the site- Follow food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures- Support the team during busy periods- Report any equipment issues or shortages to the team leadWhat We're Looking For- Previous kitchenhand, dishwashing or hospitality experience is a plus but not essential- A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, small team environment- Reliable, punctual and able to work daytime hours- Good communication and teamwork skills- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (or willingness to learn)What We Offer- Consistent daytime hours, roughly 9:00am–5:00pm- Predictable rosters published in advance- Supportive, respectful kitchen culture- Opportunity to grow with a young brand- Staff discounts and benefitsHoursTypical Shift: 9:00am–5:00pmShifts may include weekdays and weekends depending on business requirements.Full-time, part-time and casual opportunities may be available.Pay: From $30.00 per hourBenefits:
