We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and presentation. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in menu development, staff supervision, and maintaining the smooth operation of the kitchen. Duties
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and supervision to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food quality.
  • Oversee all aspects of food production, including preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends whilst catering to customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain impeccable hygiene standards across the kitchen.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to minimise waste and control costs.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain organisation within the kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and operational.

Skills
  • Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and food safety practices.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff.
  • Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations and hospitality standards.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Experience in menu development tailored to various dietary requirements and customer preferences.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Good understanding of health regulations related to food safety and hygiene standards.
