Job Description:
Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cooking and preparing Jamaican food ,along with excellent leadership and team management skills. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences while ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and kitchen operations. Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to foster a positive working environment.
  • Develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs effectively.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu development.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members.
