Darky’s Mechanical Service Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our full-time team based in Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, with work also carried out at remote client locations when required.This is a unique opportunity to bring your technical skills to a professional operation while enjoying a high standard of living in a coastal Northern Territory town. The position offers a strong hourly rate, secure accommodation, and long-term stability.Key Responsibilities:· Diagnose, repair and maintain a variety of light vehicles, including cars, 4WDs and light commercial vehicles· Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance checks and services· Liaise with customers to understand and address their vehicle concerns· Maintain detailed records of all work performed· Ensure workshop tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely· Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environmentPosition Highlights:· Full-time role with hourly rate between $35–$45 (all-inclusive)· Superannuation contributions in line with legislation· Accommodation provided· Flights covered for remote placements (if applicable)· Monday to Friday roste.· Company uniforms supplied· Access to shared work vehicles and equipment· Visa sponsorship available for eligible candidatesRequirements:· Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years' experience· Strong technical skills and knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting· Excellent communication and customer service skills· Current driver's licence and clean driving record· Relevant trade qualifications or certificatesThis role is well-suited to professionals looking for stable, above-award employment, with the additional benefit of living and working in one of Australia’s most unique regional environments.
