Mandatory Requirements - Minimum 5 years of hands-on ECC algorithm development in hardware environments
- Optical communication experience is mandatory
- Proven experience with OFEC (Open Forward Error Correction) – LDPC alone is not sufficient
- Experience designing/simulating coding schemes; strong MATLAB + C skills
- Strong understanding of system and HW implementation constraints (MATLAB RTL)

Role Overview Join a Series-D semiconductor innovator developing next-generation coherent optical transceivers (800G / 1600G). As an Algorithm Engineer specializing in
error correction codes (ECC), you’ll design, simulate, and optimize advanced coding algorithms for high-performance optical communication systems. The role collaborates closely with System, VLSI, Verification, and Firmware teams.
Key Responsibilities - Design and simulate ECC architectures, defining performance requirements and specifications
- Develop, test, and integrate ECC algorithms into full MODEM simulations
- Work with digital and firmware teams to ensure efficient HW implementation
- Support bring-up, validation, debugging, and optimization activities
- Provide fixed-point modeling and algorithm tuning
Ideal Background - Strong experience in ECC for high-speed optical communication
- Proficiency in MATLAB, C, fixed-point modeling
- Hands-on lab experience debugging and tuning algorithms
- Understanding of end-to-end hardware constraints from concept to RTL
