Projects Operations Coordinator - Full-time (Mon – Fri) - Salary plus Super + Visa Sponsorship - Smithfield, NSW Location

The Role The Project Operations Coordinator acts as responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of projects while making sure operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule. The role sits between management and frontline teams, ensuring plans turn into results. This role is execution-focused – you’ll be responsible for balancing competing priorities, managing schedules, and coordinating personnel, equipment, and service activities across Battery, Hybrid and DG project milestones.
Key Responsibilities 1) Project & Resource Coordination a. Act as the central coordination point for resource planning for major projects across all service disciplines. b. Allocate technicians, field staff, and support resources on a daily and weekly basis across concurrent projects. c. Balance workload across Battery & Hybrid Systems, DG Service, and PDI/Warehouse operations. d. Adjust allocations dynamically in response to site changes, breakdowns, delays, or urgent work. 2) Scheduling & Planning a. Maintain project schedules, service calendars, and manpower forecasts. b. Coordinate mobilisation and demobilisation of personnel and equipment. c. Support project delivery milestones by ensuring the right resources are available at the right time. d. Identify scheduling conflicts early and propose practical resolutions. 3) Stakeholder Liaison a. Liaise daily with Service Team Leaders and Supervisors to confirm priorities and capacity. b. Serve as the single operational contact point for internal project coordination matters. c. Communicate changes to scope, timing, or resourcing clearly and promptly. 4) Operational Oversight & Reporting a. Track utilisation, capacity, and work allocation across teams. b. Maintain accurate records of resource assignments and changes. c. Provide regular updates on resourcing constraints, risks, and upcoming pressure points. d. Support continuous improvement of coordination processes and tools.
Skills & Experience 1) Essential Skills a. 3–7 years’ experience in project coordination, operations coordination, or service planning roles. b. Background in technical, industrial, energy, power generation, construction, or infrastructure environments. c. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple teams or trades simultaneously. d. Strong scheduling, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills. e. High level of confidence dealing with supervisors, technicians, and operations personnel. f. Proficient in MS Excel and scheduling or ERP systems. 2) Desirable but not essential skills: a. Exposure to Battery Systems, Hybrid Power, Diesel Generators, or similar equipment. b. Experience working across service, warehouse, and field operations. c. Candidates with experience in the Middle East / Gulf region environments are strongly encouraged. 3) Behavioural Attributes we’re looking for: a.
