Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based medical care within your specialty.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in accordance with local and national guidelines.
- Prescribe and monitor treatment plans.
- Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and on-call duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Adhere to GMC’s Good Medical Practice and hospital policies.
- Contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of junior colleagues where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements- Primary Medical Qualification (MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent).
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) (with a licence to practise).
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications or membership (MRCP, MRCS, MRCGP, MRCPsych, FRCA, etc.) desirable depending on specialty and grade.
- Minimum of 6–12 months post-graduate clinical experience in the UK (may vary by Trust).
- Up-to-date life support certification (BLS/ALS/ATLS/PALS/NLS as required for role).
- Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship may be available for long-term roles).
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or overseas police check if applicable).
- Occupational health clearance (including immunisations as per NHS requirements).
- Two recent clinical references.
