Head of Engineering – Early Stage Enterprise SaaS Location: San Jose / Bay Area

With our MVP already live and a passionate user base in place, we've demonstrated moderate product-market fit within the sales-tech & mar-tech industry.
As we look to expand and refine our technological offerings, we're seeking a visionary head of product eager to shape enterprise applications. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a strong desire to drive the creation of a robust, security-focused enterprise SaaS application, ensuring it is scalable, innovative, and front-running in its market.

You will:
- Build a Scalable Platform: Design and implement a stable, secure platform that caters to enterprise customers.
- Lead AI Innovations: Spearheaded advancements in AI and document generation, becoming a thought leader in the industry.
- Cultivate a High-Performance Team: Develop processes and recruit a team that will transform our technological vision into reality.
- Hybrid Work Environment: This role primarily involves 2 days a week in the office and 3 days a week working from home. On the days in the office, we will be primarily working in the peninsula near Mountain View or San Jose. In the beginning, there will be some travel up to downtown SF for Techstars.
What You Will Be Doing: - Hands-On Coding: You will be hands-on coding in the beginning. For the first 6 months, it will only be one person, and will expand to have a team of 10 in the next 2 years.
- Building Integrations into Partner Apps: Building an api layer and Salesforce/Hubspot and Outlook extension.
- Building AI Prompts and Models: We use AI throughout our platform and are just getting started. Right now, it is just doing API calls, but eventually, we might build our own AI models and add facial recognition.
- Workflow Automation: Taking large workflows and processes that a customer typically does, breaking it down into smaller parts, running API calls to gather information, using AI prompting for communication and reasoning, and delivering the information to the user at the right time in context when they need it.
- Setting up the Security Infrastructure: We are currently set up to get our SOC2 compliance and need to finish the process.
- Fundraising Capability: You will be invited to join investor meetings and expected to communicate a compelling technological vision to investors.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Passionate about customer satisfaction and driven to enhance user experience continually.
- Building a Platform That Scales: We are looking for someone with long-term vision who is going to make decisions now that he/she will be living with for the next 10 years. You need to be able to think through the next phase of growth and prioritize areas to invest in or ignore.
Desired Background: As our head of product in a small 4 person company, you will need to be flexible and willing to roll up your sleeves. This person needs to be able to work alone on the product at times but also good at leading a team or presenting on stage.
- Full Stack Developer: Strong expertise in React, NextJs, TypeScript, and a willingness to engage directly with the code. Ideally, you will have experience with trigger.dev, clay, and Langfuse.
- Sales Software Experience: The perfect candidate will have experience in sales or marketing software. Even better if you have built a product that has been published in the Hubspot, Salesforce, or other sales tech app marketplace.
- Experience Leading a Team: Ideally, you will have some management experience.
- Enterprise SaaS Experience: Our platform is an enterprise application. With that, there is a higher level of scrutiny. We need someone who understands the quality and risk appetite that comes with selling to enterprise customers. We are currently in the process of getting SOC2 certified.
- Startup Experience: Ideally, our perfect candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build something they are proud of.
- AI Expertise: Extensive experience with AI, using it to enhance business solutions and process automation.
- An Can Do / Team Attitude: If you have ever said “That’s not my problem” or “That’s not my job,”... this role is not for you.
- Security Acumen: A commitment to maintaining the highest data security and privacy standards.
- Attention to Detail: We require this person to QA test their features and only publish product changes after they are sure it won’t break the product.
