Job Description:
Berry Farm Manager Our Company Located near Childers Queensland, Sunshine Berries is a proud family-owned business producing premium hydroponic berries. Role We are seeking an experienced Fruit Grower to oversee and manage berry production activities across our farm. This is a hands-on role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of crop production to ensure optimal yield and quality. Primary Duties Plan and manage planting, maintenance , irrigation and harvesting of berry crops Monitor crop health, including pest, disease and implement control strategies Implement fertilisation and soil management programs Coordinate and manage farm workers and seasonal staff Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment Ensure compliance with workplace health & safety standards Maintain production records and contribute to yield forecasting and reporting Work with management to improve productivity and sustainability practices To be successful you will have Relevant qualification (e.g., Certificate III or higher in Agriculture/Horticulture), or At least 3 years of relevant work experience in fruit growing or berry production Demonstrated experience in crop management, irrigation systems, and pest/disease control Experience supervising or leading teams Strong understanding of farm safety and compliance requirements Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding tasks There will be times when working outside of normal working hours will be a requirement including early starts and some weekends Join us and we offer Salary package based on skills and experience with base wage $80k-$90k per annum Career progression An excellent work culture with a commitment to staff development May be suitable for visa sponsorship for the right candidate Please provide a cover letter addressing your experience and suitability for the role.
