Our cafés showcase this journey — from innovative signature drinks to exceptional pastries and plated desserts. The Role We are looking for a Head Barista to lead our coffee program at Qima Café. This is a hands-on role for a skilled barista who is passionate about quality, consistency, and guest experience. You’ll be the coffee lead on site, supporting, training, and inspiring the barista team while working closely with our roasting and quality team to bring world-class coffee to life. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the barista team on shift, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
- Maintain and champion Qima Café’s coffee standards across espresso, filter, and signature drinks.
- Train, coach, and mentor baristas, supporting their development and progression.
- Run regular cuppings, calibrations, and quality sessions with the team.
- Care for and calibrate equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Collaborate with the wider team to evolve the coffee offering and guest experience.
- Support with stock management, ordering, and minimising wastage.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience as a senior or head barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- Excellent knowledge of espresso, filter, milk texturing, and brew methods.
- A passion for coffee sourcing, flavour, and hospitality.
- Confidence in leading and motivating a team.
- Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
