Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with proven experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trailers and related equipment. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring all equipment remains safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. LMIA will be provided for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in commercial transport trucks and trailer systems
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs
- Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
- Confirm repair requirements with supervisor as needed
- Review and complete work orders accurately
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
- Conduct road tests when required
- Complete reports detailing work performed and issues identified
Qualifications- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in truck/trailer repair and diagnostics
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
- Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics
- Welding and HVAC experience considered an asset
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Customer-focused attitude
Job Details- Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 40–60 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required
