Truck Mechanic

Job Summary
We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background with proven experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trailers and related equipment. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring all equipment remains safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards. LMIA will be provided for the right candidate Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in commercial transport trucks and trailer systems
• Adjust, repair, or replace defective parts and components
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative repairs
• Inspect and test mechanical units to identify faults and malfunctions
• Confirm repair requirements with supervisor as needed
• Review and complete work orders accurately
• Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer specifications
• Conduct road tests when required
• Complete reports detailing work performed and issues identified

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in truck/trailer repair and diagnostics
• Proficient in using hand and power tools
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics
• Welding and HVAC experience considered an asset
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Customer-focused attitude

Job Details

• Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: 40–60 hours per week
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required
• Work Location: In person
