  • SUPPORT (Semaglutide for People with Obesity and Resistant Hypertension) is academic clinical trial with the objective to determine the effect of a weight reduction medication (Semaglutide) on blood pressure in patients with difficult to control blood pressure. The trial aims to recruit patients at hospital sites and primary care practices in Ireland.

  • This appointment is through the Wellcome HRB Clinical Research Facility. The successful appointee will work to efficiently conduct the SUPPORT trial as well as contributing to the conduct of other studies at the CRF as required.

  • This role will involve a broad range of skills required to perform a randomized clinical trial including organising participant recruitment, trial logistics, equipment procurement, visits scheduling and data collection at the CRF. This list is not exhaustive and further details are described below.

  • The hours are 39 hours per week with flexibility (regarding actual hours worked) to suit local policy. The role may require travel to trial sites.
