Forestry Supervisor – Experienced Location: QLD, WA, VIC, NSW

Reports to: Forest Manager / Operations Manager

About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on Forestry Supervisor to lead and coordinate day-to-day forestry planting operations in your region. You’ll supervise crews, manage site activities, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Working closely with Regional Managers and field teams, you’ll oversee workforce supervision, site planning, quality assurance, and safety compliance. This role is critical for maintaining productivity, developing crew skills, and achieving consistent, high-quality outcomes across all forestry operations.
Key Responsibilities - Supervise and coordinate forestry crews and contractors
- Plan and oversee activities including planting, thinning, harvesting, and site preparation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and best forestry practices
- Monitor forest health, growth, and regeneration
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and maps
- Operate and oversee forestry equipment and tools
- Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance
- Coordinate with landowners, managers, and regulatory agencies as required
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Proven forestry operations and crew supervision experience (minimum 1 season)
- Strong knowledge of sustainable forestry practices and safety standards
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and terrain
- Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Tree planting experience
Preferred:
- Diploma or degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or related field
- Experience with GIS, mapping, or forest inventory systems
- First Aid / safety certifications
- Equipment operation (chainsaws, skidders, harvesters, etc.)
- Silviculture supervision (1+ year)
- Tree planting experience in Australia (3+ years)
- 4WD driving experience
