Safety Assurance Manager

Overview

We are currently recruiting a Systems Assurance Manager to work on a major rail project in QLD. The role ensures effective safety assurance systems are in place to comply with system safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.

You will need to have previously been in a leadership / management position with a proven history of acting as the head contact for Safety Assurance related activities on a major rolling stock delivery project.

Location- Brisbane, QLD – International Relocation Package Available

Duration- Permanent

Hours- Full-time, WFH Hybrid

Salary- $220,000 + Super + Bonus (+ Relocation + Visa if required)

Visa- TSS 482 Visa Provided (4 year)

Responsibilities

• Develop associated safety cases and SFAIRP arguments in support of design type, testing and commissioning approvals, representing arguments to stakeholders such as regulatory bodies, operations, asset maintainers, and the State Govt.
• Manage and provide support, guidance and mentorship to the wider SESA team including assignment of resources to deliver projects within budget.
• Workflow management including daily, weekly, monthly goal setting.
• Planning, analysis, hazard management and reporting of Systems assurance outcomes within engineering and construction frameworks
• Ensure life cycle safety assurance and compliance with relevant codes and standards incl. AS61508, ISO 15288, EN50126/8/9
• Assist with tenders / bids and overall growth of the team and business.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 10+ years SESA experience on Rolling Stock related projects involving Design, Manufacture or Rail facility construction.
• Application experience of CENELEC standards - EN50126, EN50128 and EN50129
• Knowledge of V-Lifecycle and ability to produce safety analyses and documentation (such as GSN, PHA, SHA, Hazard Log Management, FTA, QRA, Safety Cases)
