Are you an experienced Asian food cook/chef with good communication skills looking for a career? We are now accepting applications from cooks/chefs to manage our kitchen team.The ideal candidate will be an experienced cook/chef who is energetic, enthusiastic and a passionate for Asian food and working in a very busy kitchen. We are ideally looking for candidates with kitchen management experience in a fast-paced environment. Job Types: Cook & Chef Full-time, PermanentSalary: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearExperience: Chef: 2 years minimum (Required) Job Duties for Chef:- working with the director and/or restaurant manager to design the restaurant menu- updating menu according to seasonal material- monitoring quality of dishes in preparation and presentation- discussing food preparation issues with the director and/or restaurant manager- preparing and cooking cafe dishes using relevant skills and equipment- selecting choice ingredients for the dishes- demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures- planning and implementing hygiene standard in the kitchen- training kitchen staffs Job Duties for Cook:- Attends to the detail and presentation of each order- Places and expedites orders- Prepares ingredients by following recipes: slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients; adding seasonings- Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients- Stores leftovers according to established standards- Assists with receipt of deliveries- Completes cleaning according to daily to weekly schedules and dishwashing/ pot washing as needed- Assists with orienting new employees to their work area- Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labelling, and rotation of all food items.- Implements suggestions within parameter of position and refers more complex concerns to supervisor.- Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area.- Participates in and/or contributes to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $23.50 – $28.00 per hourBenefits:
