Job Description:

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our dedicated Secondary Girls’ School teaching team, commencing Term 3 or by negotiation. This is an ongoing, part-time position, with the FTE to be discussed with the successful candidate. The ideal applicant will bring strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, along with a genuine enthusiasm for teaching Science in an all-girls educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and rigorous Science instruction aligned with the Australian Curriculum
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate differentiated teaching programs to support diverse learning needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Science faculty to support curriculum delivery and development
  • Monitor and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching practice
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom culture that fosters curiosity and academic growth


About You:
  • Experience teaching Science (Year 7)
  • Strong content knowledge and contemporary pedagogical practice
  • Commitment to fostering positive and respectful relationships with students
  • Well-developed classroom management and organisational skills
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment
  • Current Australian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • A commitment to child safety and an understanding of the Child Safe Standards
