Overview
We are seeking a skilled CyberSecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organisation's information systems and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying vulnerabilities and implementing robust security measures to protect against cyber threats. Duties

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures in accordance with ISO 27002 standards.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents using tools such as Burp Suite.
• Manage network configurations and routing protocols, including OSPF, to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Oversee software deployment processes, ensuring secure integration of applications within our PaaS environment.
• Conduct regular audits of systems and networks to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with IT teams to enhance network management practices and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Provide training and support to staff on cybersecurity best practices, including the use of SELinux for enhanced system security.

Experience

• Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with a strong understanding of network management principles.
• Familiarity with various operating systems, particularly those that utilise NFS for file sharing.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Java for developing secure applications.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, particularly ISO 27002.
• Experience with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF) and their application in securing network infrastructures.
