Senior Merchandiser - On-site, Guangzhou, China

Role DescriptionWe are looking for a hands-on Senior Merchandiser / Project Manager to manage international client projects across packaging, accessories, and gift items and supplier coordination in China.This is a full-time, on-site position based in Guangzhou, China. Relocation to Guangzhou is required.The role involves regular factory visits and close involvement in production, quality control, and delivery. What You Will Do

• Discuss and define client product requirements with Senior Management and/or clients
• Identify, shortlist and evaluate potential suppliers via sourcing platforms and existing networks
• Manage supplier communication via phone, email, WeChat, and on-site visits to assess suitability
• Negotiate pricing, timelines, and production details
• Handle financial entries such as Purchase Orders and Supplier Bills for accounting approval
• Conduct on-site quality checks for key projects and ensure production accuracy
• Coordinate with forwarders, arrange bulk and sample shipments, and ensure on-time deliveries

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in sourcing, merchandising, or trading for international markets
• Fluent English required
• Working-level Mandarin required (spoken & written)
• Willingness to relocate to Guangzhou, China
• Comfortable with factory visits and travel within China (approx. 4–5 days/month)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
• Practical, solutions-oriented mindset with strong follow-up skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and quick to learn new materials and production processes
• Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers

Product experience is a plus in:

• Packaging and printing (paper, cardboard)
• Bags and/or fashion accessories (small leather goods, headwear, scarves, fashion jewelry)
