Management Accountant | inital 8-month FTC | up to £64,000 per annum (doe) Altum Consulting are partnering with a large media business in Central London for a management accountant to join immediately. You'll play a key role in delivering financial insight, robust reporting and business partnering support to senior stakeholders across a range of business functions, helping to drive performance and support strategic decision-making.This role offers excellent career progression, broad stakeholder exposure, and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile transformation and investment projects within an innovative and forward-thinking organisation.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting, forecasting and financial analysis, while partnering closely with operational stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight and support effective decision-making.
Key responsibilities include: Management Accounting & Financial Reporting- Prepare monthly management accounts for designated business areas and key strategic projects
- Deliver detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary against budget, forecast and prior-year performance
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and audit requirements
- Produce clear financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
Project & Financial Analysis- Track and review project spend and financial performance
- Partner with budget owners to monitor delivery against financial plans
- Support business case preparation and project closure reporting
- Maintain and improve forecasting tools and financial models
Business Partnering & Planning- Work closely with stakeholders to review actuals, forecasts, risks and opportunities
- Support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting and longer-term planning cycles
- Provide financial guidance and challenge to support effective cost management
- Support cashflow forecasting and reporting submissions through finance systems
Continuous Improvement- Support automation and enhancement of reporting processes and dashboards
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and systems improvement projects
About You
You'll be a proactive and commercially minded finance professional with strong technical accounting skills and the confidence to build effective relationships across the business.You'll have:✔ Fully qualified accountant (
ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
