Minara Resources has an opportunity for a Maintenance and Projects Supervisor to join our established and dedicated team.

Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. The Role

This role is a member of a hardworking, proactive and committed team who are responsible for the operational day-to-day management of maintenance projects and shutdowns within safety, timing and budget parameters.

You will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring site safety protocols and standards are applied across all work undertaken;
  • Coordinating of maintenance projects and shutdown activities across all areas of the plant, including all internal and external labour requirements;
  • Developing and managing relevant budgets;
  • Supporting your team with constructability reviews during design processes;
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate contracts for implementation of design and construction works;
  • Providing clear communication, information and input to team during the project lifecycle process; and
  • Liaise closely with operations customers to ensure that any maintenance project and shutdown execution plans are facilitated at plant level.

About You

This role would suit a person who possesses both technical competence and strong people management skills.

You will have:
  • A relevant trade qualification in a Mechanical discipline;
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience in the mechanical/construction fields;
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems and implement prevention controls;
  • Able to develop, communicate and adhere to implementation and execution schedules;
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spread sheet applications;
  • Past experience in managing costs and budgeting; and
  • A high-level of understanding all relevant legislation relevant to role in the mining industry in WA.
