Retail Buyer

DI PACCI IS A WELL ESTABLISHED COFFEE COMPANY THAT IS EXPANDING IS BUSINESS OPERATION ACROSS THE APAC REGION…….as it is expanding, the company is looking for an experienced RETAIL BUYER

• Fulfilling a purchasing plan/strategy for DI Pacci Clients’ retail operations Analysing the product sales and product inventory to determine Di Pacci Clients’ imminent and future product requirements
• Monitoring the coffee market as it grows in the country and analyzing sales data and stock levels as well as examining market information to keep abreast of changing market conditions
• Identifying, evaluating, sampling and determining optimal category product mix
• Selecting products and managing direct importation to clients of products into Australia from Italy
• Purchase planning according to customers need and budgetary requirements and anticipating consumer trends.
• Knowledge of the coffee Industry in Australia and New Zealand as well as the Asian market consumption trends
• Negotiating business contracts and detailing purchase requirements for coffee green beans and coffee machines with distributors and manufacturers, both domestically and internationally
• Developing and implementing pricing, promotion and marketing strategies
• Liaising with management staff and external third parties
• Reporting to Executive Management on retail buying targets and results as well as formulating long term sales plans.
• Implementing management decisions associated with the retail buying department and its purchasing capacity Travelling to and working closely with clients Category Managers to build working relationships.
• Skills required
• A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III including at least two years’ relevant experience, or AQF Certificate IV; highly desiderable University degree in Management / Economics
• At least three years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
• In addition to relevant qualifications, at least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Strong analytical skills
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience in the coffee industry ( coffee beans and equipment)
• highly desiderable knowledge of Italian language
• Salary package: 70000 - 80000$ a year + superannuation
