Project Controls Manager - Omaha, Nebraska
As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager company, our client provides full cost, procurement, and/or project management services, which provide essential ingredients for the development and implementation of a successful project. They are aware of the need for practical advice and aim to be flexible while remaining focused on client needs. They work closely with the client and the rest of the project team to achieve value for money in terms of time, cost, quality, flexibility, and risk. As a progressive, dynamic practice, they aim to be innovative, constantly seeking to maximize and expand the service they offer their clients.
Our client has consistently invested in the development of the practice through experienced personnel and modern technology—a blend and commitment targeted to best serve clients’ business needs.
Due to continued success within the discipline, our client is looking to further increase their capacity and capability with the appointment of a Project Controls Manager, to be based in Omaha, Nebraska. You must have a strong project controls background, as you will be working on a huge and exciting data center construction project, working for one of the most recognized firms in the US.
Responsibilities
  • Evaluate costs and advise on alternative proposals.
  • Provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which building will be constructed.
  • Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, and budget of the project.
  • Oversee and manage project activities to ensure quality and give direction with regard to time and cost.
  • Collate and analyze performance, time, and cost data.
  • Develop detailed project schedules to ensure all activities are completed on time.
  • Forecast budgets and track expenditures to prevent cost overruns.
  • Monitor progress and generate detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies for potential risks.
  • Collaborate with the project team, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations.
  • Follow Practice procedures concerning quality assurance.


Qualifications & Compensation
  • Salary up to $200k, commensurate with experience.
  • Immediate start.
  • Relocation assistance may be possible.
  • Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates (E2, E3, H1B, and TN1).
  • A bachelor's degree in project management, construction management, or engineering is typically required for this role.
