Senior DevOps Engineer (Rancher, Kafka & Harness)📍 Chicago, IL (3 Days Onsite per Week) 🕒 Experience: 4–10 Years 🛂 Open for H1B Transfers📝 Role SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (Production Support) with deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and cloud-native platforms.This role focuses on operating, stabilizing, and optimizing production environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems.You will work extensively with AWS, Kubernetes (Rancher/EKS), Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Kafka, Harness, and Python in a fast-paced, production-first environment.🎯 Key Responsibilities🔹 Production Operations & Reliability

• Provide L2/L3 production support for AWS & Kubernetes environments
• Own incident triage, RCA, and high-severity issue resolution
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Improve reliability using SRE best practices

🔹 AWS & Cloud Infrastructure

• Operate scalable AWS environments (EC2, EKS, VPC, ALB/NLB, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, CloudWatch)
• Implement multi-account, multi-region architectures
• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and security

🔹 Kubernetes & Container Platforms

• Manage Kubernetes clusters (Rancher/EKS)
• Troubleshoot pods, networking (CNI/Ingress), stateful workloads
• Improve autoscaling and deployment reliability

🔹 CI/CD & Automation

• Build and maintain pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Harness
• Implement blue/green & canary deployments
• Enable GitOps workflows and automated rollbacks

🔹 Infrastructure as Code

• Develop IaC using Terraform
• Automate workflows using Python
• Build reusable platform templates

🔹 Kafka & Streaming

• Manage Kafka clusters, brokers, producers/consumers
• Ensure HA, throughput optimization & secure connectivity
• Integrate Kafka with AWS & Kubernetes

🔹 Observability & Security

• Monitoring using CloudWatch & Splunk
• Define SLIs/SLOs and alerting frameworks
• Implement DevSecOps best practices
