We're seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join a nationally recognised consultancy working across Power Generation and Transmission & Distribution projects. This is your chance to contribute to large-scale utility projects, including substations, switchyards, and power plants - both renewable and conventional - while developing your career in a thriving, innovative environment. Key Responsibilities
• Electrical Design: Lead the electrical design process (primary, secondary, automation/SCADA), focusing on planning, conceptual, and detailed designs for medium to large-scale transmission and distribution projects.
• Technical Documentation: Perform technical calculations, develop technical documents, and create procurement specifications to ensure project requirements are met.
• Project Coordination: Oversee the development and compilation of project documents, coordinating with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Compliance and Quality Assurance: Review detailed design documents prepared by subcontractors and equipment suppliers for completeness and compliance with Australian Standards.
• Client Engagement: Actively participate and engage with clients to support the delivery of projects and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Site Support: Provide site-based support for projects across Australia as required, ensuring successful implementation and commissioning. About You:
• Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in transmission and distribution substation or lines projects in a design role, with expertise in primary, secondary, and automation system design for substations on renewable and conventional utility-scale power generation projects.
• Knowledge: Sound understanding of Australian industry codes and standards, particularly the National Electricity Rules (NER).
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Team Collaboration: Experience working within a team environment and managing autonomous tasks effectively.
• Flexibility: Willingness and flexibility to travel interstate as required. Why Join Us?
