Audit & Accounts Senior An established accountancy practice is expanding its audit team due to an increase in audit assignments and is now seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join the team. This role offers a strong audit focus, exposure to group audits, and the opportunity to work closely with the Audit Partner within a growing department. The Role As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, while also supporting a mixed portfolio that includes some accounting work. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident in leading audits and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities - Leading audits from planning through to completion and finalisation.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Managing group audits and assisting with group consolidations
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients during audit engagements
- Supporting accounting work (approximately 30% of the role)
- Liaising with the tax department where corporate tax input is required
- Ensuring compliance with FRS 102, IFRS, and audit standards
Technical Requirements - Strong audit background with the ability to lead engagements
- Experience with: FRS 102 IFRS
Systems experience: Qualifications - ACA / ACCA qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
Skills & Attributes - Strong technical audit and accounts knowledge
- Confident communicator with clients and internal teams
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments
- Comfortable working in a growing audit function
