About the Role:As a Senior Medical Registrar, you will play a pivotal role in our physician training program, working alongside directors and education support officers to lead and support our team of Basic and Advanced Physician Trainees. You’ll have a chance to:
- Develop Leadership Skills: Serve as a representative for junior medical staff on key committees.
- Shape Education Programs: Coordinate tutorials and clinical exams for trainee physicians.
- Expand Your Expertise: Split your role with clinical work in a specialty of your choice (0.5FTE administrative/educational, 0.5FTE clinical).
- Engage in Research & Teaching: Opportunities to collaborate with the ANU Medical School and advance your academic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Trainees: Aid in recruitment, term allocations, and ongoing support.
- Committee Representation: Act as a voice for trainees on the Physician Training Committee.
- Organise Exams: Oversee RACP exams, ensuring trainees are fully prepared.
- Manage Rostering: Work with the rostering unit to resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Clinical Contribution: Engage in clinical duties within a specialty area as part of your role.

Requirements:
- Medical Registration: AHPRA Registered or eligible to apply
- Training Level: Ideally in the final year of FRACP Advanced Training in Adult Medicine or recently qualified.
- Weekend/After-Hours Availability: Willing to work occasionally outside regular hours.
- Commitment to Development: Dedicated to teaching, research, and clinical governance.
- Digital Literacy: Competence with digital health records and adaptability to tech changes.
