Job Description:
Qualifications for Physical Therapist
  • Education:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree if graduated prior to January 1, 2016.
    • Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) required if graduated after January 1, 2016.
    • International candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; DPT preferred.
  • Licensure and Certification:
    • Must hold or be eligible for a Physical Therapist license in the state where services will be provided.
    • State licensure must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
    • CPR certification required within the first 90 days of employment.
    • Must maintain all required certifications and licensure as per expiration dates.
  • Preferred Membership:
    • American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) membership is preferred.
  • Driving Requirements (if applicable):
    • If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver’s license is required.
    • If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Experience:
    • Clinical experience within an educational training program required.
    • Work experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds, and may need to push up to 300 pounds.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work at other locations as assigned.
