OverviewBased in Stafford, our client is an is an accountancy firm, established for over 12 years. They are currently looking for an accountant to help manage a burgeoning portfolio of clients. They are innovative and growing rapidly, representing an excellent opportunity.
Role Overview- Position: Accountant
- Location: Stafford office with hybrid policy
- Hours: Flexible; 20-25 hours per week (scope for full-time in future)
- Salary: £33,000 to £35,000 pro rata
- Study Support: If you are AAT/PQ ACCA, then there is scope for study support in future
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review corporation tax returns for a portfolio of Limited company clients.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of PAYE payroll
- Assist clients with their bookkeeping.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax regulations and laws
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information for tax preparation
- Utilize accounting software to manage client accounts
- Prepare financial statements and reports for clients
Requirements:- Proven experience within an accountancy practice
- Must have prior experience with Xero.
- Proficient in using MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
