Your mission
As part of our R&D and Operations team, you will support the development, testing, and optimization of lithium and nonlithium-based battery- as well as organic or perovskite based solar chemistries. Your role is critical in ensuring the precision, reliability, and safety of our experimental processes.
YOUR TASKS
- Conduct chemical and electrochemical tests to characterize and evaluate battery or solar materials to improve performance (e.g., routine battery/solar cell assembly, electrolyte or absorber preparation, chemical compatibility, electrochemical performance, etc.).
- Conduct electrochemical tests (e.g., charge/discharge cycling, impedance spectroscopy, rate capability, conductivity) and analyze performance data.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate wet chemical and instrumental standard analyses according to the test plan (e.g., viscosity, density, particle size distribution, thixotropy, pot life).
- Prepare samples for analysis according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including electrochemical test stations, ensuring proper function and compliance with safety standards.
- Document procedures and communicate findings effectively.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports for internal use and regulatory compliance.
- Manage inventories of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
Your profile
- Completed training as a lab technician or chemical laboratory assistant (e.g. CTA, PTA, Chemielaborant:in), or a similar qualification
- 2+ years of practical lab experience in electrochemistry, ideally working on technologies like batteries, fuel cells, solar cells, or electrolyzers.
- Familiar with common lab testing methods and analysis tools (e.g. measuring performance, reliability, or electrical behavior)
- Confident using laboratory software and Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working with chemicals and following safety procedures in the lab
- Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus
