Wara Sushi is a sushi train restaurant that started in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 2014.Our mission is to combine fresh ingredients and creative recipes to bring new experiences to our customers. We currently have 21 outlets across Australia, with a large team of employees who work together to grow Wara Sushi.We offer sponsorship opportunities for eligible candidates. Those who qualify will proceed with sponsorship after a performance check. We support SID(482), 491 and 494 visa options.***Hiring process for full-time and part-time positions: Up to 1-3 months of probation, followed by performance evaluation.

Salary:· Salary range: $65k-$80kNote: Superannuation of 12% is paid separately.
Casual Pay Rates:
  • Introductory Level (First 3 months):

  • Weekdays: $30.35/hr

  • Weekends: $36.42/hr

  • Public Holidays: $60.7/hr

  • Level 1(Automatic increase after 3 months of employment):

  • Weekdays: $31.19/hr

  • Weekends: $37.43/hr

  • Public Holidays: $62.38/hr

Note: Superannuation of 12% is paid separately.
Experience:Japanese cuisine experience is not required, but Australian qualifications are preferred.Minimum of 1+ years commercial kitchen experience is required. The required 1+ years commercial kitchen experience must include Asian cuisine experience.

  • Prepare and cook all types of food

  • Discuss food-related issues with management, kitchen, and floor staff

  • Train staff, Manage deliveries

  • Accurately manage food inventory

  • Order ingredients and supplies
