Job Description:
Kiwi Traffic Solutions Ltd is a trusted provider of traffic management services across New Zealand. We pride ourselves on delivering safe, reliable, and efficient temporary traffic management solutions for a wide range of projects.We are seeking a motivated and experienced STMS (Site Traffic Management Supervisor) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site temporary traffic management operations to ensure the safety of road users, the public, and site staff while supporting the smooth delivery of our projects.You will also:
  • Lead all aspects of on-site traffic management includes Install, monitor, and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) sites in accordance with the Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency Code of Practice for Temporary Traffic Management (CoPTTM) / NZ Transport Agency TTM guidelines.
  • Supervise and lead a crew of Traffic Controllers (TCs) on-site.
  • Conduct on-site safety checks, risk assessments, and toolbox meeting
  • Coordinate and direct multiple crews whilst liaising with clients, contractors, and road controlling authorities.
  • Complete, manage and maintain all required documentations and ensuring full compliance is met
  • Proactively manage site safety and lead comprehensive risk management across all road categories to ensure safety for all road users and workers.
  • Supervise and mentor traffic crews, including TMOs, TTM Workers and other STMS team members.
  • Ensure all HSE procedures are followed and promote safe use of tools, vehicles, and equipment

Skills and Experience
  • Current STMS qualification (Level A/B/C or Universal)
  • Proven experience managing traffic management sites.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, safe decisions.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Current full NZ driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred but not essential).
