Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor - New Zealand
Rob Law Max is New Zealand's leading construction recruitment company, we are looking to engage with Quantity Surveyors / Cost Consultants at the intermediate or senior level who are based in the UK and are planning to relocate to New Zealand in the next twelve to eighteen months. We have been sourcing staff for one of NZ's leading main commercial construction contractors and PQS companies for many years, we have hired a number of people from the UK with good success over the past 20 years. We have a Senior Recruitment Consultant visiting London during the week commencing 29th September to meet interested and experienced candidates. If you are an Intermediate or Senior QS with experience of working for a commercial contractor or PQS cost consultancy with the following attributes, please get in touch:
- A minimum of 5-6 years experience working as a QS in commercial construction/interior fit-out OR cost consultancy
- Strong employment tenures of at least 2 years per employer
- Tertiary qualification eg Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics) or similar
- RICS membership or working towards it is highly beneficial
- Demonstrable leadership capability
- Strong communication skills – fluent verbal and written business level English proficiency
- Excellent IT / construction technology knowledge and ability
Please note: We expect applicants to have already carried out a good amount of research into relocating to New Zealand, in terms of costs, visas, timescale, practicality and eligibility. The full cost and logistics of the move must be driven by the applicant. Some costs and visa assistance will be provided by the employer, but applicants must be aware that this opportunity should not be seen as an all expenses paid trip to the other side of the world for a year to see what it's like.
