    About the SchoolThe School of Mathematics and Physics (SMAP) is part of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences (EIS), a globally recognised faculty known for high‑impact research, strong industry partnerships, and innovative teaching. SMAP delivers programs in Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Statistics, and provides essential teaching across Engineering, Computer Science, Education, Public Health, Psychology and related disciplines. The School fosters a collaborative academic environment committed to excellence in research, teaching and community engagement.About the RoleAs Lecturer in the Mathematical Sciences, you will contribute to high‑quality teaching, impactful research, and active participation in governance and service. You will strengthen the School's research profile in areas: one or more of geometric analysis, financial mathematics, and statistics. Candidates with expertise in related fields will also be considered. The role includes developing and delivering engaging learning experiences, supervising students, contributing to curriculum enhancement, and maintaining a program of education‑focused research to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning. You will also participate in School and Faculty governance and help foster a positive, inclusive academic culture.
