Job Detail Job ReferenceM16960 Job Description Responsibilities: Oversee all crew-related administrative tasks and documentation Coordinate and revise crew schedules and deployment plans Ensure proper implementation and oversight of Crewing department protocols Monitor and enforce compliance with maritime authorities and regulations (e.g., MPA, ICA) Address crew-related issues, including welfare, manpower, and payroll matters Ensure vessels are staffed with certified and competent crew, fully compliant with STCW and other relevant standards Lead recruitment and selection processes for seafarers in line with company policies Source and evaluate crewing agencies that align with company requirements Manage visa applications and ensure all crew certifications comply with legal standards Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for crew members Prepare and submit applications and claims for Foreign Worker Levy Participate in ISM/MLC and other mandatory audits ensure documentation is audit-ready Assess performance of seagoing staff and provide feedback on compensation or training, in collaboration with department heads Resolve employment issues involving seafarers and ensure proper closure of such cases Stay updated on changes in crewing regulations and requirements from ILO, flag states, unions, and maritime organizations Submit regular weekly and monthly updates to the Director Perform additional tasks as required, related to Marine, Crewing, or HR functions Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience as a Crewing Manager in the shipping industry Familiarity with employment pass applications (e.g., Work Permit, S Pass) and MOM guidelines Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a Marine-related field Strong leadership qualities and experience in people management Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to a fast-moving work environment Capable of working independently as well as within a team
