Consultant Paediatrician WESTERN AUSTRALIA health

$412,161 $523,436 p.a. (inclusive of base salary, superannuation + regional allowances)

Expressions of interest are welcomed from candidates who have current registration or eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA who have been assessed as substantially comparable by RACP.

Lead Paediatric Care in Regional WA

About The Role

As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will deliver high-quality clinical care to paediatric and neonatal patients across the region.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing acute and chronic paediatric conditions including neonatal care
  • Providing clinical leadership and working with a Paediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
  • Contributing to clinical governance, policy, and service improvement
  • Supervising and mentoring junior doctors: Senior Registrar, Registrar, Residents, and Intern
  • Participating in an on-call roster for emergency and neonatal care

About You

You are a qualified Consultant Paediatrician who is:
  • Clinically experienced in general paediatrics, neonatology, and developmental care
  • A strong team player with leadership and teaching skills
  • Passionate about rural health and equity in care
  • Comfortable working in a culturally diverse setting, especially with Aboriginal
