Senior / Principal Mining Engineer – Underground Metals Talisman Technical | Brisbane, QLDTalisman Technical is a specialist mining consultancy delivering high-quality technical advisory services to clients across the resources sector. We're growing our underground metals capability and looking for an experienced engineer ready to step into meaningful project work from day one.The RoleYou'll work as a key technical contributor on underground metals mine planning projects, bringing your experience to bear on design, scheduling, and operational planning challenges for clients operating in complex hard rock environments. This is a genuine consulting role with technical depth: you'll be solving real problems, not just reviewing other people's work.Based in Brisbane, you'll be part of a tight-knit team of senior & principal engineers who take their craft seriously. The role involves occasional domestic and international travel to mine sites and client offices, giving you broad project exposure and the opportunity to build relationships across a global client base.What You'll Be Doing

• Underground mine design, life-of-mine scheduling, and backfill system planning for client projects
• Delivering high-quality technical work and reports that clients can act on
• Contributing to multi-discipline studies from feasibility through to execution
• Supporting business development through technical credibility and client relationships
• Domestic and international site visits and client engagement as project needs require

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years' experience in the underground metals sector, ideally in a range of planning and operational roles
• Experience across mine design, production scheduling, and backfill planning
• Proficiency in mine planning software

• Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own deliverables
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
• Strong written and technical communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates
