Thai chef/Line Cook

Job Summary — Thai Chef / Line Cook We are looking for an experienced and passionate Thai Chef / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of authentic Thai cuisine, can work in a fast-paced environment, and consistently prepares high-quality dishes. You will be responsible for daily food preparation, cooking, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring all menu items meet our taste and presentation expectations. This role requires excellent knife skills, familiarity with Thai ingredients, and the ability to follow recipes efficiently. Job Responsibilities Cooking & Food Preparation Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes including curries, stir-fries, noodles, soups, and appetizers. Follow standard recipes and ensure consistency in taste and presentation. Maintain prep levels for daily service, including cutting vegetables, proteins, and preparing sauces/pastes. Operate wok station confidently and safely. Adjust dishes based on customer preferences or special dietary requirements. Kitchen Operations Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation according to Ontario Food Safety standards. Keep a clean, organized, and hygienic work station at all times. Assist with inventory, ordering, and stock rotation (FIFO). Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. Support in training new staff on Thai cooking techniques when required. Quality & Consistency Ensure every dish meets restaurant standards for quality, portioning, and presentation. Taste dishes regularly and maintain seasoning accuracy. Monitor cooking times and ticket flow to ensure timely service. What We Offer Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
