Job Description:
Children's Residential Support WorkerDuties:
- Provide support, lead shifts and assistance to individuals with a range of challenges (such as behavioural difficulties, physical or intellectual disabilities).
- Assist with daily living activities, such as: meal preparation, medication administration, supporting with general cleanliness (washing clothes, tidying bedroom and encouraging good personal hygiene).
- Help children and young people participate in recreational and social activities, along with educational needs. Supporting contact with family where applicable.
- Accompany children and young people to appointments and outings, whether it be medical, wellbeing or social appointments.
- Monitor and report any changes in behavior or health condition and feed this back to the appropriate professional in meetings such as PEP's and LAC's.
- Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for children and young people; that is inclusive and diverse (encouraging positive outcomes).Qualifications (Desired)
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (Children and Young People's Workforce)
- Previous experience working with individuals with EBD or LD.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
