Bar Supervisor/Mixologist

We are looking for a talented and creative Bar Supervisor / Mixologist to lead our licensed bar operations, inspire our bar team, and craft unique cocktails that celebrate African and Caribbean flavours. Job SummaryThe Bar Supervisor / Mixologist will oversee all aspects of the licensed bar, from staff supervision to customer service, stock control, and compliance with licensing regulations. The role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on mixology, ensuring customers enjoy a high-quality bar experience with innovative and culturally inspired drinks. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of the licensed bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Prepare, mix, and serve cocktails, mocktails, and beverages to company standards.
• Develop and introduce signature cocktails inspired by Nigerian, African, and Caribbean flavours.
• Train, schedule, and motivate bar staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage stock ordering, rotation, and control to minimise waste and maximise profit.
• Ensure full compliance with alcohol licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards.
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally.
• Report to senior management on bar performance, staff, and sales.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a bar or hospitality setting, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar service techniques.
• Proven ability to manage bar staff and oversee licensed premises.
• Excellent knowledge of alcohol licensing regulations and compliance.
• Creativity and passion for developing new drinks and customer experiences.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Outgoing personality with ability to thrive in a lively, fast-paced environment.
