Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floors and Wall Tilers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tile installation techniques and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring that tiles are installed accurately and to a high standard, contributing to the overall aesthetic and functionality of various projects. Duties

• Interpret schematics and blueprints to determine tile layout and design.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, smoothing, and applying adhesive.
• Cut tiles using hand tools and power tools to fit around corners, edges, and fixtures.
• Install tiles in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
• Apply grout and sealant to completed tile work to protect against moisture and damage.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of materials.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Tiler or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to tile installation.
• Familiarity with painting techniques is an advantage.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
