About the Role We are seeking a Senior Rolling Stock Electrical Engineer to lead and support the introduction of new rolling stock across Australia’s passenger and locomotive fleets. Key Responsibilities
  • Design & Development: Oversee electrical systems design for new rolling stock, ensuring compliance with Australian and international standards.
  • Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production aligns with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Fleet Introduction: Manage the commissioning and testing of new rolling stock, ensuring seamless integration into the existing fleet.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expertise in electrical systems for both passenger and locomotive rolling stock.
  • Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges and provide innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.


What We’re Looking For
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in rolling stock or rail-related electrical engineering.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, manufacturing processes, and fleet integration.
  • Knowledge of Australian rail standards (preferred but not essential).
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
