About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated
Senior Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen team. This is a key leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is passionate about seasonal cooking and quality produce.You will play a hands-on role in daily service, team leadership, and menu execution across à la carte, functions, and events.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Lead service and ensure smooth execution during busy periods
- Assist in developing and implementing seasonal menus
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Manage prep, ordering, and stock control
- Ensure compliance with food safety and WHS standards
- Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Head Chef
Skills & Experience- Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume venue
- Strong understanding of seasonal, produce-driven cooking
- Experience with wood-fire, open flame, or asado cooking (preferred)
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Passion for quality ingredients and farm-to-table philosophy
