Job Description:
About the RoleWe are looking for a Chef for our restaurant in Sunbury. We need someone who has prior experience in preparing authentic Indian delicacies. What we're looking forSome of the day-to-day responsibilities of the staff member would be:
  • Prepare and cook full course meals.
  • Schedule and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe food handling practices are followed.
  • Prepare dishes for customers who may have food allergies or intolerance.
  • Estimate food requirements, menu planning and associated food / other costs involved.
  • Follow hygiene, FIFO, keep kitchen clean and all the work areas.
  • Cook and season food according to recipes and experience.
  • Regulate and keep control of temperature of all equipment's used.
  • Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and clearly both in written form and through representations.
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
