Cake Decorator

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Cake Decorator to join our busy bakery in Christchurch. This role is offered on a full-time basis and is suitable for candidates with relevant experience in cake decorating and bakery production.About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for decorating cakes and desserts to a consistent commercial standard while meeting daily production requirements. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, time management, and adherence to food safety standards.Key Responsibilities:- Decorating cakes and desserts according to business standards- Preparing icings, creams, and decorative elements- Ensuring consistency in quality, finish, and presentation- Meeting daily production targets within set timeframes- Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards- Following workplace policies and health & safety requirements- Assisting with general bakery production duties as requiredSkills and Experience Required:- Previous experience as a Cake Decorator or in a commercial bakery environment- Ability to decorate cakes to a consistent and professional standard- Good time management and ability to work under pressure- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practicesDesirable (Not Essential):- Experience working with fondant and specialty cake finishesWhat We Offer:- Full-time, ongoing employment (minimum 30 hours per week)- Market-rate pay based on skills and experience- Stable roster and supportive team environment- Training provided where required- Staff discountsApplicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand or be eligible for an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV).Apply now with your CV.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, PermanentPay: From $25.00 per hourWork Location: In person
