What's the Role? Etsy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to join our Risk Experience team. You will be joining a team of software engineers, building features and systems to enable our international sellers to reach millions of buyers globally. This role will be focused on improving the Buyer and Seller experience for the Etsy community from a Trust & Safety perspective, whilst ensuring the experience for bad actors is as difficult as possible. All the members of this squad will be experienced engineers at Etsy that will support you in your onboarding. The technology we build spans the full stack end to end; from user experience, to API design, backend service development, vendor integrations, and database design. Depending on the needs of the business our team may need to move up and down the stack, and in many cases collaborate with other teams to get to what needs to be done. This is a full-time position reporting to our Engineering Manager, Threat Mitigation and Risk Experience. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. This role requires your presence in our Dublin office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What’s this team like at Etsy? Risk Experience’s mission is to mitigate risk by closing various experience gaps prone to exploitation within the buyer and seller journey. This team is focused on adding friction to the buyer and user seller journey through user experience changes. Most members of the team are based in Dublin with some based in New York.
