Job Description:
Pho Viet Vietnamese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Supervisor (two positions) to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. If you have a passion for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and a proven track record in the restaurant industry, we want to hear from you!Duties and responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service is provided to our clients.

  • Supervise the front of the house team, including bar staff and table service team whilst leading and inspiring the team to enhance our customers’ experience.

  • Greet customers and assist in taking orders, running food, clearing tables and seating customers.

  • Liaise with customers regarding any complaints in a professional, helpful and friendly manner, act as necessary, and report to the Restaurant Manager.

  • Oversee and maintain stock levels, ordering supplies.

  • Perform and monitor staff compliance with service standards - ensuring that all staff deliver a high level of customer service to the restaurant’s clientele.

  • Monitor staff rosters, performance and resolving any grievances.

  • Assist with recruiting and training new employees.

  • Always adhere to workplace health and safety requirements and hygiene standards, ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance and are safe for staff and customers.

  • Performing other duties such as cash handling and bookkeeping may be required.

Qualifications (Required)
  • Previous experience in a similar supervisory role - least one year

  • Relevant qualification of at least Certificate IV AQF level

  • RSA Certificate (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
