Trust Fundraising Manager Salary: Grade 6, £42,254 - £50,253 per annum Full time: 35 hours per week Permanent

This role may be eligible for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. THE POST – REQ000457 - Trust Fundraising Manager

This role leads fundraising from charitable trusts, foundations and public grant makers to support the university’s Strategy 2030 and future ambitions. Working closely with colleagues across the institution, the post holder will manage key philanthropic relationships at local, national and international levels, overseeing a portfolio of funders and active grants while ensuring strong stewardship and compliance. They will identify fundable projects, develop compelling cases for support, write high‑quality applications, and build productive partnerships that secure investment in learning and teaching, research and innovation, campus development and student support. This skilled position requires experience in trust and foundation fundraising, with the ability to secure four‑ to six‑figure grants, grow a sustainable pipeline, and deliver an annual six‑figure income target.

The successful candidate should have the following:
  • Relevant, specific and demonstrable work experience in trust and foundation fundraising.
  • Experience in charitable trust and foundation fundraising with a proven track record of securing a six-figure annual grant income.
  • A proven track record of writing successful funding applications, reports and other relevant fundraising materials.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of philanthropic relationships with trusts, foundations and public grant makers at a four, five and six figure level.
  • Experience of working with colleagues across an organisation at all levels of seniority to identify funding opportunities, develop funding proposals, deliver stewardship activity, and compile funding reports.
