Look no further - we are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Registered Midwives to join our High-Risk Antenatal Inpatient Unit at John Hunter Hospital. About our Ward The High-Risk Antenatal Inpatient Unit provides specialised care to women from across the Hunter New England Local Health District, as well as women requiring access to Maternal Fetal Medicine services. The unit is uniquely co-located with a Gynaecology and Gynae-Oncology service, supporting women’s health across the continuum, including early pregnancy management and sexual health. Women admitted to the ward often require extended inpatient stays, allowing for the development of therapeutic relationships and continuity of care within an acute hospital setting. Working within this environment provides midwives with the opportunity to consolidate and advance their skills in caring for women with complex pregnancies, while contributing to a model of care that balances high-acuity clinical management with woman-centred continuity An exciting time of change John Hunter Hospital is currently transitioning to a new state-of-the-art facility, creating a contemporary and innovative care environment for both patients and staff. Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
