Job Description:
Description Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment
The Neurophysiology and Cognition Lab, at the Seaver Autism Center, led by Dr. Shlomit Beker, PhD, (www.bekerlab.com) invites applications for a postdoctoral position. The research is done on electrophysiological data (EEG and recordings from the periphery) collected through computerized and social tasks, from individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The main goals of our studies are to understand neural mechanisms underlying developmental disorders, and to develop reliable biomarkers through large-scale studies and clinical trials. The Beker lab at the Seaver Autism Center studies children and adults with autism and rare genetic disorders, and how they interact with, and are receptive to their immediate environment. We apply advanced signal analysis approaches to address questions on cognition and social interaction in these clinical populations.
