Job Description:
The School of Social Work and Social Policy offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes such as the Joint Honours Social Policy, Bachelor in Social Studies (BSS), the Master in Social Work (MSW), the MSc/PG Diploma in Social Policy & Practice, MSc/PG Diploma in Child Protection & Welfare and the MSc in Applied Social Research among others. This post is to directly support these flagship programmes. The appointee, who will have PhD in one of the social sciences, will be expected to contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes within the School, including the supervision of taught undergraduate & postgraduate student dissertations. They will also be expected to contribute to the administration of the School, to be research active and to be engaged with the community and discipline. Post status: Specific Purpose Contract Salary: This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Merged (€42,500 - €101,541) point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
